New! Live Panel Zoom Sessions!

New! Live Panel Zoom Sessions!

Tue, May 12, 2020

In lieu of recent events (the dreaded Covid-19, in case anyone just woke up from hibernation), FlyingFox has decided to keep you; the fan, the musician, the industry professional, the hobbyist up to speed on how this plague is affecting those of us directly impacted in the music industry.

Beginning June 17th, FlyingFox will be conducting live Zoom Webinars weekly with people who have something to say about the current status as well as the future of the live entertainment business.

Topics will include (but not limited to), and feature key prominent figures in each category of:

  • Festivals
  • Venue impact
  • Touring personnel
  • Musicians impacted
  • Artists (screen printers, tattooists, artists who depend on live events to make their living, etc.)
  • Actors and actresses
  • Local Promoters
  • Booking Agents
  • Live music businesses forced to file bankruptcy
  • Labels
  • Recording Studios

There will be 2-3 panelists for each weekly session. We will discuss possible real time solutions and leave an open Q&A for you, the audience at the end of each discussion. There will also be exclusive one-on-one Webinars for those topics that require that extra attention.

These hour long sessions will be open to anyone. Cost to enter will be just 5 EUROS in the form of a donation, and limited to 100 people per session. This is your chance to hear directly from your favorite festivals, bands, venues, etc. directly, and help us come up with new ways to move forward so that we can all keep doing what we love.

Seeing live music.

We’re hurting, but our spirit cannot be broken. This is a chance for the music community to come together, now more than ever, and come up with a plan of attack on how to make sure that live entertainment is recognized as a critical outlet and essential market not just for the of us who have dedicated our lives to this passion, but to YOU, the listener. We need your help.

In the meantime, Erin has started a new website called Venting Post 16, A Place To Word Vomit. This is a place to read about first hand accounts of what this is doing to those directly impacted. The homepage is up as we are gathering the first week’s worth of articles. Please be sure to sign up and follow for notifications on upcoming guest writers and panelists on both the webinars, the website and soon to be Podcast.

And as usual, don’t forget to follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for the latest news on all of our artists and the soon-to-be open for business Webshop.
